Centuries by Clarke, Hussey took the game away from Sri Lanka completely and on top of it Symmond had added quick 50 to give a challenging 500+ 1st inning score. SL looks in deep trouble with loss of early wickets. Need to see how they shape the innings today.
As expected we couldn’t get the links for Day 1 because of the ODI between Pak vs Ind but we are hopeful today.
Yesterday, SA won the toss and decided to bat first which couldn’t last long. Bond picked 4 wickets, as expected seam bowlers will have an advantage. Almost 12 wickets on day 1 of the test match, need to see how pitch plays today.

Last match was an easy win for India, Pakistan never looked threatening after initial 10 overs of the match. Good start gave by Salman Butt has been misused by middle order batsman. And thanks to Afridi and Yousuf because of whom they could post a target of 200+. On the other side, Team India looked solid even after of losing their 1st wicket quickly. Sourav and Gambhir dominated the bowlers and gave a good start from which no team can lose (Oh yeah recently Pakistan lost a match to South Africa) and Dhoni and Yuvraj made sure they are home.
This match is important for few players as BCCI selection committee will be picking test squad and squad for next 3 ODI’s .
Hope to see a good match with a nail biting finish today at least as we always expect from Ind vs Pak match.
New Zealand tours South Africa to play 2 Tests, 3 ODI’s and one-off T20 and the tour kicks off today in next few minutes, which means a busy month for the cricketing fans to keep themselves updated with the action.
Vettori has major work to do to keep themselves up to the level of SA who is playing at home.

Well within less than an hour Australian’s are gonna play test match after long time(Ashes 2006) against touring side Sri Lanka. With retirement of Mc Grath, Warne, Langer after Ashes, it will be interesting to see how Aussies gonna handle the deficit. Sri Lanka will be without services of Sangakkara which is a big blow for Sri Lanka who may not be in good form in ODI’s but he is a different player in tests and they will be missing him.
More importantly Murali needs another 7 wickets to break Warne’s record. Can Aussies give murali oppurtunity to break the record in this match.
Despite the emergency situation announced in Pakistan by its chief Musharraf , PCB had decided to continue with the tour which is great news for all cricket fans who have been waiting for this from long time.

Asif is ruled out of first few matches due to injury and India will be without services of Dravid for couple of matches who is dropped(politically rested). Also this will be an important series for Sourav as BCCI is seriously behind Aging players.
I hope this will be one hell of exciting series like the previous tour of Pakistan to India and get to see cricket.

Wow what a match was the last one, Pakistan almost seemed to make a mess of it but made it in the end. SA kept losing wickets and they never seem to reach 200 score but luckily they made 200+ and had something to defend. Initial fireworks by Afridi made sure Pak doesn’t get into run rate problem and the rest need to play average cricket to win the match but loss of wickets in quick intervals gave a bit of hope to SA but partnership between Malik and Yousuf made sure pakistan is home.
Lets hope we will have good match today as well. Wish pakistan can bat first
