1st test match was so close to be unbelievable, never thought it will come so close and England will lose after putting up such a good fight.

England will be without Hoggard most probably who had five wicket haul in 1st match and Sri Lanka will be missing JayaSuriya who had choose to retire from International test cricket.

England need to win this match to level the series or draw the match to keep the hope alive for the final and 3rd Test match.

I wish we will get to see one more good match in this series and importanly we get stable streams

What a treat that was from Yuvraj and Sourav for Indian cricket fans. Kumble won the toss and decided to bat first(for obvious reasons of 2 main spinners in the team to attack) and Pakistan paceman did all the possible damage they could in the 1st session picking up 4 wickets for a total of 61 and just when commentrators were talking about Kumble’s decission to bat first on a virgin pitch and match clearly seem to be slipping away from India hands, Yuvraj joined the Prince of Kolkota and both tried to settle down the nerves and spent time to read the pitch. Within no time Yuvi exploded and Sourav provided great support and put up a partnership of 300 at the rate of 4.5+/Over with both getting centuries.

With the new ball Pakistan managed to pick Yuvraj but for the 1st time in my life I’m seeing pakistan struggling in bowling department. Shoaib is the best bowler from both teams but he is just useless if he can’t bowl spells more than 10 overs.

Day 2, Pakistan will hope to pick some early wickets and control the damage done by Yuvraj and Sourav while India would be looking at 500+ total one more time in this series.

Both team goes in to the final match with India leading the series 1-0 at home ground of Kumble and Dravid which has history associated with it when it comes to India playing against Pakistan favored for Pakistan. Pakistan recovered well from injury blows except their captain Shoaib Malik while India’s primary batsmen Dhoni and Sachin may miss the match due to injury which needs pending attention from quite some time.

The way Pakistan had comeback in the last game they have every reason to be more confident than India but India don’t have much pressure as Pakistan as they already lead the series.

Can England defend 350 in 4th innings of test match and that too in sub continent. It may be a huge test but definitely not impossible task.Sangakkara continues his prime form with bat in Test cricket and helped SL to huge target.

What a eventful day it was at Kandy, Murali breaking the record and Jayasuriya announcing his retirement. I somehow get a feeling that Sri Lanka has good chances of winning this match with likes of Murali, Jaya and Vaas in bowling department. Already around 100 lead with 8 wickets and 2 days remaining, it should be an easy task for Sri Lanka.

Yesterday we did not have any live links for most part of the much and I hope that will not be the case today.

Who thought this match will go till Day 5 after mammoth total posted by India. Many Indians thought Team India will win by an innings but now the match is heading for a draw unless Pakistan goof it up from here. If match ends up in draw(Which is most likely) then there is only one who deserves the MOM award and its none other that Mr Cool head “Misbah”. I’m impressed with his innings this match as well as in the last one.

I somehow felt India went on defensive mode, though they shuffled batting order they did not score at a good pace which everyone was anticipating. May be they will accelerate today and declare with in an hour if they want to stand any chance of winning.

What a mess England had made, they were 100 odd for 1 and ended the day with 186/8, Murali needs just 1 wicket to cross Warne and what an feeling it should be for him to do it on his home ground.

Absolutely no words for the character shown by Misbah and Akmal. Pakistan can now even dream of saving the test match. All they need is to occupy the crease for another couple of sessions in this innings (Which is difficult) but who knows with Misbah at one end. Its very heartening to see Misbah and Akmal getting their centuries at the right time when its much needed for their team. Even if Pakistan manage to draw, they will carry the confidence to the B’lore test which will make it interesting contest (Huh….lemme stop dreaming, another 2 days and Indians can win easily with little efforts)This test match is getting better session after session. Almost 1000 runs scored already and 5 centuries
