If Bangladesh bowlers can have one more good session today then it will be interesting how both the teams will carry themselves out in the 2nd innings.

Sorry folks for the goofup in during the 4th ODI between NZ and Eng. We missed the schedule and tried to catch the sleep and we hope the same mistake will not happen again.

Coming back to the match, I have watched only last 30 overs of the match and I must admit I never though New Zealand has chance especially after the wicket of Mc Cullum. But How played exceptionally well to keep NZ in game all the time. Though it was very exciting, it’s a shame that match has to end as tie which means England still alive in the series and they need to win this final ODI to level the series.

After losing the last match against India, Sri Lanka has a huge task ahead if they want to get into finals. They have 3 matches(including this one) and they need to win minimum two(must win against India) if they want to get into finals. Opening pair and bowling is a major concern for Sri Lanka and they will hope they strike the form today when its much needed.

Australia had a good break for almost a week and will be fresh to play against the Sri Lanka. They would like to use this matches as practice matches for the final and gain some form in batting which they have been struggling lately.

After Miserable performance in New Zealand, Bangladesh will be willing to use the home advantage and get their cricket back on track. Should be cakewalk for South Africa though.

If you look at the points table above, Australia is comfortably leading the table with 17 points and certain to be one of the finalists. India played 5 matches and has 8 points while Sri Lanka played 4 matches and 2 points behind India. Todays match is equally important to both the teams and whoever wins will have a good chance to meet Aussies in the finals. Also mathematically speaking India in kind of a must win scenario as Sri Lanka has another 3 matches left while only 1 match for India.

Five bowler theory did not work out that well for Team India, don’t understand why they tried that experiment in last match but if something to be blamed for India’s poor performance it has to be top order batting. I think they should get back to 4 bowler concept and have a strong batting line up. Sri Lanka might go with the same team they played against India

Weather forecast looks promising for good cricket and hope to see good cricket from both the teams.

With the victory in the last match, Aussies are back on top in the points table and the next on the points table is India. Aussies need one more win to book their spot in the finals. India should be going confidently into this match after their record win in last match against Australia. India top order is really a cause of concern and hope they will do well today. Also Australia planned to rest Bret Lee which is a kind of good news for India as he is in supreme form. Also reports indicate Sehwag and Clarke as doubtful which is not good news for both the teams, Otherwise India most likely to go with the same side and why not if that’s their winning combination even if some of them are not in form.

Can’t wait for this to get started. Hope we get to see a nail biting finisher, it’s been very long we had that kind of cricket match.

Series is wide open and todays match is equally important for both the teams. Last time when these two teams met Aussies totally dominated Sri Lanka and it was more like a one sided match. Hope to see a competitive match here today and the result of this match could put one team on top of the points table and most likely one more win can take them to finals.

England needs a victory badly here today if they want to keep the series open or else a New Zealand will be sealing the Series today if they can win which kind of makes next two matches a bit boring. England need some changes, especially in their middle order batting line up and may be a bowler or so. Personally I would like to see the man in form Mascarenhas in the team. New Zealand team might go with the same team and seems like they have found the best person as Jesse Ryder to partner with Mc Cullum for opening which has been a problem in past for New Zealand.

Let’s hope we can see competitive cricket from both sides rather than a dull one sided match.

England had a very bad day at office other day and it takes a lot of mental effort to recover and level the series from the damage New Zealand. After winning the toss and deciding to bat no team expects to set a target of 130 even on a track which supports bowlers. Middle order need to show some stability and consistency for England if they want to do well for the rest of the series. Also if I was given a chance to decide between Bopara or Mascarenhas, I would go with Mascarenhas who is a better all rounder compared to Bopara and that’s the only change I can think if there are any changes to be made for England side.

New Zealand must be happy with their performance both with the bat and the bowl in the 1st ODI and most likely will go with same side and hope to perform well. Hope England can lift their game and offer us a better cricket match.
