After watching 40 days of continous T20 cricket, a 4 match trination series definitely looks very small even though this one is ODI cricket. Pakistan might try to experiment today with some new faces against a weaker opposition Bangladesh and make sure they go with best team for the Asia Cup. Well it’s been very long since Bangladesh has a won a game and I don’t think any one will expect them to win today but a decent show is what people will to see from them.

June 1st, 2008At the end of Day 2, Aussies are still favorites. West Indies got early break through on day 2 but Clarke did not let the West Indies to gain upper hand and went on to score fine century and some decent batting from lower order took them to 479 before Ponting decided to declare.
West Indies started off their innings well but lost couple of wickets in hurry before the close of play on Day 2 with Sarwan and Chanderpaul at the crease. They need another 155 runs to avoid follow on with 7 wickets in hand. Hopefully they can avoid follow on.

Actually I don’t feel that excited for the finals after watching Semi-Finals which are completely dominated by one side from the word go and there was no contest at all and by the time you reach 1/3rd of the game, you know who is going to win. Anyways Final has its own significance and now we have two teams Chennai Super Kings who crushed Kings XI Punjab with bowling and Rajasthan Royals who knocked Delhi with their batting and that makes this game bit interesting.
Rajasthan Royals who started as underdogs has grown into a major force in the IPL losing only couple of games so far has major job to do against Chennai SuperKings who started as favorites along with Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians has to struggle a bit to win the 1st Season of IPL. Rajasthan Royals are favorites for this game but as many say Dhoni has luck going his way and that might help him today as well to upset few bookies and Rajasthan Royals supporters.

Aussies definitely are on top but not sure whether Ponting will be happy with his team performance yesterday. They played 82 overs and scored just 259 runs at a run rate of 3.16 and that’s not Aussies approach for test matches at least in the past. West Indies should be happy that Aussies did not take the game away from them totally despite poor fielding and drop catches. If WI manage to pick couple of wickets early, that will make match more interesting but its not that easy with two set batsman at crease.
