i too am hoping that mi get into the semis. that way, rr will play them instead of dd in the semis, one of only 2 teams against which rr has lost so far. of course, one cannot discount the fact that if mi play, they’ll have the home crowd’s support. in that sense, warney was right that 1st & 2d semi-finalists should be playing on their home grounds.

@ AJ, I am afraid that you are that positive, I dont think Delhi can ever win, because a team can never only rely on the top 3 batsmen. If they fail, they are dumped. And about the bowlers, asif has an injury and Mc grath has lost his touch. I doubt Delhi to win, and I also have a feeling that Rajasthan will not win but Punjabis… they are on a roll. Well, i have 3 favourites, RR, DD and MI. It will be nice to see all 3 in semis but given the state of game today, i guess MI may not make it to the semis.

I have been extremely impressed with young Indian batsman Rohit Sharma. He is only just 21 years old, (I am nearly old enough to be his father!!!) but he plays with such maturity and control it is fantastic to watch.
A young local bowler to keep an eye on is P. Vijay Kumar who has been learning and improving so much every time he bowls. Vijay has only been playing senior cricket for a couple of years so it must be amazing for him to be bowling to the world’s best players in front of thousands at the ground and millions on television.
He is also teaching me the odd word or two in Telugu which has been good fun.
Well there is a small look at my thoughts on the IPL, and hopefully I will be able to provide regular updates as the competition continues this year and in years to come.
Congratulations to everyone on the wonderful achievements over recent years and with Satyam about to enhance its operations in Australia, I look forward to watching it succeed in my home country as well.

Its good as Mumbai crowd is very rustic and unpolite…which in a weird manner is good for IPL when home game & crowd advantage is concerned..I do belive the home crowd should support the home team but in the end they should not be sour losers…what Yuvi felt bout the Mumbai crowd was so right…

Hey,glad that the best playing teams have qualified for the semis but little sad that inspite of spending so much money and tweeking the game towards mumbai Indians favor by having the semis and finals towards mumbai Indians they couldnt even make it to the top 4.A bit ashamed of it.
