hey man, i got a problem here bro….i have a 1 mbps internet conncetion, n this tvants thing doesnt seem to work , it takes ages to load up n thn im never able to see the match, is it jus cause of the bandwidth??? cuase i used to watch all the matches on sopcast without any hassel….is there a way out of should i jus forget bout watching any ipl matches anytime soon????

@Chimera, If you are using Tvants Player(Not embedded one), click channels tab and select the channel and bottom of the window click details.
It will show your peers and connections.
For me its buffer free from last 15 mins.

Though a message to the broadcaster to use sopcast if possible and bring it down to 300Kbps as that allows smother play and lot less buffering.

@Sid, Even if they stream on sopcast…Sopcast Authorities are removing from tracker within 15 mins. (Will work for the ppl who joined before its removed and will show as offline for ppl who are joining in later)…So please start using tvants.

Tvants Newbies.
Please follow this steps .
1) Install Tvants (Ignore if you have already done that)
2) Open tvants (Start->Program Files-> Tvants->Tvants.exe)
3) Click Search Tab( Wait, it will do a default search and list few channels)
4) Enter IPLenLen in Seach Box and Search (If you see the result, thats a good news, some(Behind firewall) may not see the result)
5) Double Click The IPLenLen
6) Click Channels Tab and notice the buffering column (It takes couple of mins before it buffers and five minutes to show the initial signs of showing video on player window)
7) If you see the video as mentioned in step 6…just hold on for some more time(5-10 mins) and video will be buffer free.

Thanks for the reply. The explanation regarding sopcast makes sense.
TVants eventually does work after 5-10 mins of buffering but a reduced bit-rate will def. help. I happen to be on an ISP which does not like P2P traffic so kinda gets hard with higher bit-rates. In fact lot of ISPs have started doing this lately.

Yep Tvants seem to have a problem …stopped now for me.

TVAnts worked fine while the match started but now it has stopped working .. sopcast link that colly gave is working but its not as good quality as TVAnts. Hope TVAnts gets fixed.

@Gans, mostly depends on net speed. I don’t see any other reason. For me it goes upto 75% (4Mbps connection)

colly - i have another laptop with xp and its working great. But I had issues connecting the other one with my LCD TV.
@Ifty, i hope the same combination makes through, but for that to happen CSK needs to lose 3 of their 4 games and DD need to win all of their 3 games with good RR. Yesterday was a golden chance for DD to make the best out of the game but all credits to Sehwag who bowled really well for KXI to change the momentum.

@Denny, Right Click on Sopcast player window and click statistics and check advanced tab. (can you post bandwidth in use and available here)
