Team India dominated day 1 of 3rd test also like they did in 2nd test and actually they (India) played better than 2nd test scoring at good net run rate. Gautam Gambhir played excellently for his 149 and let’s hope he will go on to get biggie today. Sachin and Laxman played excellently with a good Strike rate to put Aussies on a defensive mode.
On day 2, India should look to extend their score to 500+ and declare around tea time or may be 10-15 overs before end of day 2 on the other hand Aussies desperately need wickets and they need wickets quickly to get back into game before game slip away from their hands.

Very important match for Australia and they just can’t afford to lose it when Series itself is at stake. I still think Bangladesh would be able to manage a draw here and it’s not that easy for New Zealand to win a test match in 2 days unless Bangladesh play extra-ordinarily poor cricket. Important match for lions to move up in the points table even though they have another 4 games left (Excluding today’s game against Royal Bengal Tigers).
