Neverthought yesterdays match between Rajasthan Royals will beat Kings XI Punjab and it will turn out to be so interesting. Shane Warne was just amazing with the ball and at one point thought they would restrict Kings to score below 150 but excellent batting display from Yuvraj and Piyush got them past 150. Rajasthan Royals put themselves in bit of trouble losing quick wickets but Watson and Jadeja made sure they are home comfortably with 11 balls left.

Today’s match between Chargers and DareDevils is an important one for Deccan chargers after losing their 1st match against kolkata. Deccan Chargers will be under tremendous pressure to win this match which is played at home and moreover Laxman has tough job in hands selecting the team with Afridi now available. I think Deccan Chargers will drop Vaas and pick Afridi whch seems to be the most sensible thing to do in this shorter Version of game. Considering that Shoaib Malik and Asif now available, expect some changes in Delhi DareDevils team as well and would be interesting to see how Star studded Deccan Chargers batting line up will handle Veteran Australian Mc Grath.

I like the concept of having 2 Matches a day on weekends and a match on weekday, which means we will have only one match a day for the next 5 days. Today its between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab and both teams are yet to register a win and I thnk Kings XI will come on top today looking at both the teams performance other day. The team which is going to lose today will have tough time to make it for semis and they might have to win all other games.

1st match today between Deccan Chargers and Kolkata turned out to be interesting low score match and at the time of updating this Kolkata need 22 from 20 balls with five wickets in hand and I think that should not be a big deal but pitch is behaving strange. Play interrupted as one of towers (lights) stopeed working and hopefully will resume soon and finish before this match or else will be draw.

In 2nd match today,Vijay Mallya’s Royal Challengers will be playing against Reliance Mumbai Indians led by Little Master. It would be interesting to see how Sachin will cope up with Captaincy this time, considering that’s the only department he ever tried and failed. Both the teams look equally good on papers but Mumbai Indian’s has got two key players Sachin and Jayasuriya who can take the game away from any team if they get going. Also After losing their 1st Match Royal Challengers will be under pressure to perform today against Mumbai Indians.

After losing so many matches in row and importantly losing most of the wickets in first 15 overs, I’m not sure how much entertainment Bangladesh can provide. I wish Pakistan get to bat first and score massively and then let Bangladesh do what they want, if they can chase well and good if not also fine.

Nothing much to say about Rajasthan Royals vs DareDevils except that it was the boring match of all the matches we had till now and I think todays 1st match going to be the most exciting of all.

Today two of my favorite teams (Deccan Chargers and Knight Riders) will be playing against each other in front of 100K+ crowd at Eden Gardens. Deccan Chargers has got amazing T20 batting line up with likes of Gilchrist, Gibbs, Symmonds and Scott Styris along with Very Very Special Laxman and rising hero Rohit Sharma. (Afridi is still in Pakistan ripping Bangladesh Team). But VVS has tough job in hands picking only 4 Foriegn players and If I’ve choice I’ll drop Gibbs for Chaminda Vaas. I don’t think Knight Riders will make any changes to the team and will be hoping to repeat the similar performance today at their home as well.

Oh boy we had two games till now and in both the matches we have scores well beyond 200, Chennai definitely in drivers seat at the time of writing this but things can change quickly if Yuvi strikes. The way Mr Cricket (Hussey) shaped up the innings is too good and was very well supported by Suresh Raina and Badrinath who has lot to prove to the selectors.

In the 3rd IPL Match two teams with most low profile players take on each other and who knows whats cooking for us. Delhi DareDevils led by Sehwag look better on paper compared to Rajasthan Royals led by master of spin Shane Warne. Somehow I think both the teams are not capable of scoring beyond 200, I may be wrong and we will know that in another few hours.

Wow Inagural Ceremony was much better and exciting than 2007 T20 World Cup or any other Cricket world cups as a matter of fact which is followed by Brendon Mc Cullums exceptional performance to register win for Kolkata in IPL 1st Match. Knight Riders made Royal Challenger look like a minnows and it’s all because of one man Mc Cullum. Good to see Dada as captain again who did a good job with bowling changes and fielding positions. Lets hope the entire tournament will be as exciting as it was yesterday.

Todays 1st match is battle between kings, Chennai Super Kings take on Mohali Kings XI Punjab at Mohali and with home crowd Mohali would love to win this game. Both the teams look equally good with both bat and ball with few class players in both the teams who are made for T20.

Pakistan just need to win this today to get into record books of Pakistan winning 11 matches in row. Ofcourse that will be against minnows but still its a record.

Bangladesh needs serious introspection if they have to improve themselves in future. If they lose today then it will be thrid whitewash in row against nations who rank better than them in ICC Ranking.

On paper Knight Riders looks much stronger and suited for T20 cricket while Royal Challengers look more of a test team to be honest. Would be interesting to see how Royal Challengers will come up with batting order.

Whatever cricket we are going to watch over next 45 days(approx), we should thank ICL for that. ICL tried to do same thing an year back which did not got well with BCCI as they thought they might lose control and finally managed to arm twist other cricket boards to ban ICL and was successful. Well everyone loves T20 Cricket and ICL showed BCCI a way to make more money and they decide to come up with Indian Premier League(IPL) with same concept except that other cricket boards allow their players to play for IPL which means you can get crowd pulling players like Sachin, Sourav, Yuvaraj, Dhoni along with big hitters from other nations like Symmonds, Gilchrist, Gibbs, Afridi, Punter, Smith, Gayle etc., and sure to be successful. Only thing I’m concerned about is the impact on International Cricket.

Also Indian crowd will now get used to club concept as well and everyone will be backing their home team like English football fans :). Gotta tell you that Englishmen are so crazy about football and all you need to ask them is which is your team to get them started and they will go on for hours and hours if you are ready to listen talking about owners(Franchise), players, seasons. Oh yeah and if two different club guys meet mostly they are gonna end up fighting like a kids. (Well that’s what I get to see at work everyday).

I think Deccan Chargers, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians has good chance of winning the 1st Season of Indian Premier league. Deccan Chargers team is just amazing with batting line up (Gilchrist, Gibbs, Symmonds, Afridi apart from Laxman and Rohit Sharma) while Kolkata Riders got two best captains with them(Sourav and Punter) and they are skilled, aggressive and strategic :). I should admit I just can’t wait anymore for IPL to get started

I think I’m ready and my calender is blocked for next 45 days and I think it’s same with everyone.
