Excellent cricket show by Bangladesh to knockout West Indies out of Tournament with Ashraful recording fastest fifty in T20 format. England showed why experience in any form matters, as expected england bowlers who understand the importance of bowling in T20 showed their experience.

Today we have two key matches which will decide if India and Aus can go till next round or not, In the 1st match Sri Lanka will play against Kenya and should be a cakewalk for them.

The 2nd match is very important for Australia to stay alive in this series to keep their hopes alive. If England wins this match, Aussies will exit the Cup and that must be very humilating defeat of World Champions in both Test and ODI format.

And finally many cricketing fans are waiting for the 3rd match of the day with India playing against their historical opponents Pakistan. If pakistan can defeat India with RR more than 2.55, India need to go back and Scotland will have privilege to go to the super 8’s.

Yesterday will remain as history in cricket, Zim made their debut in ODI’s beating Australia in 1983 and now again they made their debut in T20 format beating Australia. Zimbabwe will have to play England today and if they can throw one more surprise then the match on friday between England and Aus will be great.

Scotland was good with the ball against pakistan and they got a good start for batting too but couldn’t capitalize. Pak experience in T20 format made sure they are home. Scotland will play against India under lights today and I won’t be surprised if they upset India. Both teams are new to this form of cricket and both are inexperienced.

Bangladesh will play their 1st match against West Indies and any thing can happen with both teams are most unpredictable in any format of cricket.

What a match between SA and WI to kick off the T20 WC, I never thought SA will win once Smith was out but Gibbs and Kemp made sure they were home with almost 3 overs to spare. More than 400 runs scored in less than 40 overs and that exactly depicts why they say T20 Cricket is more in favour of batsman.From today we have 3 20-20 cricket matches a day on most of the days except for tomorrow. Good thing is organizers had made sure no two major matches will happen at same time in interest of fans.

First match for today New Zealand vs Kenya followed by Pakistan vs Scotland and 2nd day concludes with Australia vs Zimbabwe

I’m damn excited to see the shorter version of Cricket on International Arena. Many say its more in favor of batting, may be true but skills of bowlers will be tested extensively.Host nation takes on most unpredictable team in world cricket to kick of the T20 cup here at Johannesburg. 20 overs and you don’t need to bother much about the wickets except slog from beginning. I hope we will have great match today.

Excellent cricket from both the teams throughout the series kept the series still alive and made this match as series decider and made it more interesting. India had enough of good memories at Lords and we will know in another 8hrs if they will they add one more to their list of good memories. In 2002 Kaif and Yuvraj had upset England on the same ground chasing 324 and I still remember Sourav swirling his shirt here in Lords Balcony. What a match it was, no one had thought India will win after collapse in middle order.

Coming to todays match, I don’t think there will be any changes to India squad but there may be couple of changes to England squad. If freddie comes back, Luke Wright may have to make place for Freddie but I’m in Collingwood’s position I would replace Cook with Wright and get Flintoff in middle order. I follow the county cricket and have seen Wright doing damage for many teams this year.

I hope we will have one more nail biting cricket match here today.

Do comeback for T20 World Cup. We would expect to do similar or better service for the T20 WC.

India did a good job in the last match to keep series still alive, can they do it once more to keep it alive for lords. England will miss Bopara and Flintoff due to injuries who will miss even T20 World Cup.

India need to play good cricket again and out perform England to keep this series alive. At the same time England will be looking to win this match at any cost and not to carry the series to the last match at lords just because England is still young team and don’t want to put in pressure scenario in series decider cricket match where winner takes it all.

Mascrena may(will) be back in place of Bopara and Lewis may have to free his place if Freddie wants to play.

What a great match we had in Old Trafford, everyone thought its allover for England but I was confident England can show some fight bcoz of Bopara. This is the 2nd time Bopara did for England but the 1st time he lost the match but this time he completed the job.India need to win this match at any cost to keep the series alive or else they will add another series defeat to their ever growing list. The only ODI series India won in recent days is against Bangladesh. They lost against WI, SA, World Cup and now England.

England have good oppurtunity to seal the series and set the England ODI record on track. In tennis terms, they have 3 Match points
