England had won two matches and they won it comfortably. India had posted a huge total in the match they won but the victory was not convincing,courtesy Mascerana and Broad. And importantly whoever had bat first won the game and on all three ocassions Dravid won the toss and asked England to bat twice.

Colly is still doubtful and if colly has to miss the game then Freddie will do the honours. I would like to see Masceranas back in place Tremlett. I guess India will pull out one spinner and fill it with Batsman or so called all rounder Agarkar.

Weather looks great for Cricket and we should be able to get complete match like other 3 games.

India face the hosts in Birmingham for the 3rd out of 7 Match ODI series.We had the chance to witness good cricket during the last match on a flat Bristol pitch where both the teams scored 300+ runs.

Freddie is doubtful for todays match who picked five for in last match. India would be hoping to go with same combination where as we can expect some changes in England especially bowling department.

Hope to see similar cricket like the one in last match.

England had outclassed India in 1st ODI in all the departments and won it quite comfortably. But its very known fact that India starts any series poorly but gets back into rythm very soon. Some of the Indian players are hit with flu (As per reports) and there may be changes in team. Anyone would expect England to go with the same winning combination.

India need to win this to keep series evenly balanced. Improvement is required in all departments primarily fielding and running between wickets.

weather looks more or less similar to the match at rosebowl. A perfect conditions for cricket and I hope we will get to watch good cricket.

A new ODI series starts today at rosebowl, one of the state of art cricket grounds in England. Collingwood’s 2nd ODI series as captain and luckily Freddie is back for him who can support him in captaincy as well as filling the role of all rounder(Doubt if he will bowl at all).

India should be riding high on confidence after test series victory but ODI is different game and anything can happen on given day. All you need is exhibit right skills for 1 day, no room for mistakes.

Interesting thing is both sides don’t have established opening pair.Both sides only one of them is certain (Cook and Sourav)

The Game

After the test series victory, India will play Scotland in shorter version of game in Scotland and it should be a easy task for team India.Its not shown on Skysports, UK. I’m not sure we will have video links but lets hope for the best and share whatever possible.

What should I say about Dravid’s stupid decission to not to enforce follow on and waste one full day. I don’t see any reason for not enforcing follow on when you have a healthy lead of 300+ and only two days left. Even if opposition plays innings like Laxman and Dravid did in kolkota few years back, they need one and half days to set a decent target of 200 atleast.On top of that he made 12 of 96 balls, definately the boring innings I’ve ever seen live. Thanks to Ganguly who played magnificiently to compensate his captains strike rate.

4th Day Highlights

• Dravid not enforcing follow on
• India were 11/3 at one stage
• Sourav 57 of 68 balls with some vintage shots.
• Dravid 12 of 96 Balls that too with boundary on 91st ball.
• Strauss and Cook survived 20 Overs successfully to leave England 56/0 at stumps day 4

Just when the thing seems to be going good for England in morning session, they lost wickets of Cook and Vaughan just before the lunch. Pietersen could not make much impact and Collingwood and Ian bell had one good partnership to heal the innings to an extent but thats not enough for the massive runs india had scored. England still trail by 338 with 1 wicket remaining in 1st Innings. If India can pick 2 wickets before lunch then it will be all over for England.3rd Day highlights:

• Kumble picking the top order wickets just before lunch when everything was going good for England.
• Tendulkar picking KP in First ball of his spell
• Sreesanth & Zaheer Khan Cleaning the tail.

Can England save the match by batting two days??

Again it was a good day for Team India at Oval, few 50+ partnerships and dhoni’s blistering knock topped with Kumble’s maiden century ensured India pose a huge total to put England on backfoot. England has to bat for the next couple of days to make sure they get a lead and put india to bat. England already lost the wicket of opener Strauss in short batting session they had which left Cook with overnight batsman Anderson.Overnight Score: 24/1 A Cook 12* Anderson 5* (Trailing by 640 Runs)

Day 2 Highlights:

• Sachin and Laxman started the day on good note with making their half centuries.
• Dhoni’s fireworks(Pure power hitting)
• Anil Kumble’s Maiden Century with good support from Zaheer and Sreesanth for highest last wicket partnership for India.
• Zaheer again produced early breakthrough when he picked Strauss.

It would be good to see Vaughan’s strategy. He is a different captain and I don’t think he will take the defending approach .India got 8 Half Century Partnerships and England too need something of similar sort or couple of big centuries. Good test for England team which has not lost Test Series under Vaughan’s captaincy in England.

Team India must be happy with the Day 1 proceedings. Dravid and Jaffer againg giving a good start which was followed by 100+ run partnership between dravid and Karthik ensured India in very strong position. After quick wickets of Dravid and Karthik, responisibily was on Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Prince of Kolkota Sourav Ganguly once again. Both had good partnership of 50+ and just when everyone felt India is taking Series far away from England, Ganguly had again became victim of Umpired who misjudged LBW which has thick inside edge and loud noise which everyone picked up except the umpire.With the day coming to close and 10 overs left, Sachin and Laxman had decided to see off the rest of the overs and played safe cricket.Over Night Score: 316/4 with Tendulkar on 48* and laxman on 20*.

Day 1 Highlights:

• Karthik was dropped by Strauss in Early overs who went on to make 91.
• Jaffer fell to the trap of Anderson and vaughan, who had set the field for that pull shot and Anderson has to produce good bouncing deliveries which can be pulled.
• Dravid committed to shot too early and totally decieved by the swing of Anderson.
• Except Karthik and Technology, Everyone seems to be convinced with Karthik’s dismissal of Caught Behind.
• One more blunder from Umpire and again to the man who is looking so confident and determined for one more 50. Sourav was misjudged LBW for a thick edge, All Bengal tiger could do is walk off with smile blaming his poor luck.

India needs one more good partnership which will put England in defensive mode. To save the series England needs to pick the rest of Wickets as soon as possible.England needt to make use of the new ball which is just 5 overs old and run through the rest of the wickets quickly.

Welcome back to the 3rd and Final test of NPower Test Series.

India goes to the final match with 1-0 lead and will be looking to win or draw to seize the historic series win in England. Michael Vaughan has not lost test series in England till now under his captaincy and will be very much interested and England team will be fired up to keep his record intact.

Oval is known for swing and bounce and last few days weather here is perfect for cricket(Though a bit hotter), so expect to see a good full match.
