India has history of starting the series badly and bounce back strongly. Every Indian will be hoping for India to bounce back strongly and bring the series to life.

India has to deal with few fitness problems with in form batsman Sourav down with fever and Pace Spearhead Zaheer Khan’s ankle injury resurfaced. From the news reports it seems like India is gonna retain the openers and it would be interesting to see how Dravid approaches his game in this match if he is at all to open the innings today.

Australia most likely will field the same team as they did in the MCG test.

Hope it will be interesting match unlike the 1st test where India surrendered themselves in 1st innings itself.

With nothing much at the stake I hope Bangladesh to play aggressive cricket. They had most of their success when the top order played with no fear and aggressive batting at the top. Bangladesh doesn’t have a stable middle order to be a good team to save wickets till end and slog in the middle overs. They won most of the matches when their top order performed aggressively.Hope Bangladesh performs and we get to see a balanced match.

On how many ocassions we had seen West Indies wasting the opportunity they had like yesterday. They were all over the SA after having a chance of asking SA to Follow on but WI opted to set a target rather than chasing the target. They decided to bat and after first 5 overs batting order started to collapse and by the end of the Day they lost 8 wickets and the lead still less than 200.

They should be looking forward to waste as much as Day 4 with bat if possible and ask SA to but and attack as chasing 400 will be a challenging task for a team who couldn’t manage 200 in 1st innings.

Day 3 went just as expected with few exceptions that India managed to pick some wickets and an gutsy declaration from ponting.I would bet my left eye that India must had never done that if they were in Aussies boots.

With two days left, practically there is no way match can end in draw unless Rain gods take over. It would be interesting to see the approach taken by Indian batsman, especially the top order(Dravid/Jaffer) who are the ones who had put India in back seat playing slow(pathetic) cricket as if Aussies had scored 700 odd batting first and India had no choice except to play the rest of 4 days.

Many experts had ruled out Indian chances of winning or saving but this is cricket and miracles do happen. If India wins the match then it will be the world record for the highest winning score in 4th innings which was previously held by West Indies against Aussies and how can cricket fans forget that match. Ramnaresh Sarwan was unnecessary provoked by Aussies and he won the game for Windies. If India had to win, someone need to play a similar innings in next couple of days.

Its great to see good cricket from West Indies after a long time, full credit to them the way they had played the 1st two days and hope they don’t lose the plot like they did many times in past. It would be good to see if they can keep on applying pressure on South Africa till the end.

Chanderpaul had equaled the recored for most consecutive fifties in an innings which speaks a lot about his commitment, character and the form. Wish he can break the record as well.

No words to explain what happened on Day 2, stunned at the approach by Dravid(And Jaffer) and this is not the 1st time in last one year. Just don’t want to talk about it much and spoil my mood. I never slept watching cricket till date but yesterday I did it and missed Sachin’s innings also. As its the first match they should have at least started aggressive and set the tone for the rest of the series but it’s clear to everyone that they were playing for draw after a couple of overs which is not a way to play cricket on 2nd day morning. Nevertheless thanks to Sachin, Sourav, Laxman and Kumble because of them India managed to avoid follow on.

With 179 runs lead, 10 wickets in hand and 3 days remaining Aussies look favorites at the moment and India need to play their hearts out to save this match from here on as weather looks very clean and bright for next few days.

After losing toss and put to bat by New Zealand, Bangladesh did a good job for the first half of the Bangladesh innings and once Asharaful and Iqbal got out the entire game was one sided.

Hope they will put up a good show today and we get to see a good match!!

Finally after many years I could see West Indies getting off to a better start and good to see middle order batsman also carried the momentum. Gayle started like a ODI match and Ganga was careful as it’s been long he played on international arena. And Marlon Samuels made sure the start provided by the openers is wasted again like it happened with them on numerous occasions and was short by 6 runs for a very well deserved century.

With Bravo and Chanderpaul at the crease WI should be looking to play one full session minimum.

I never thought Aussies will fall like a pack of cards after a great start provided by Hayden and Jacques. Somehow it reminded me of old days Indian batting. I almost bet-ted that 500 will be the 1st innings score if Aussies bat 1st but for a change that’s not happening this time and I’m lucky enough not to bet. Kumble’s wicket of Jacques was crucial as India was looking desperate to break the partnership and the rest of the players could not stand long. It should have been much better day for India if they had cleaned the tail as well without allowing them to score runs freely. Nevertheless day belongs to India who not only managed to withstand Aussie force but applied the pressure back.

Also I felt that Kumble manipulated his action and confused Gilchrist who is left with no option except to slog and ball landed in safe hands of Sachin.

It would be interesting to see how Indian’s bat on the pitch which Mathew Hayden had termed as one of the difficult pitched he had seen in last two year.
