Day 1, Kumble won the toss and decide to bat first which turned out to be a good decission at the end of Day 1. As usual the opening partnership did not last long and the wall Dravid did not last long who was in two minds to either play aggressive or defensively on a good batting wicket while Sehwag was scoring runs at quick pace on the other end which helped Team India not to panic. Tendulkar who is in great form continued from where he left while Aussies managed to put an end to Sewhag leaving Sourav and Sachin at the crease. Sourav again got out to Brad Hogg without scoring much (probably a bad decission) and India looked in all sorts of trouble but Laxman and Sachin steadied the ship and both went on to score fifty and century respectively before Laxman fell to Lee. Dhoni joined Sachin and played very defensive cricket and Sachin played his shots to reach 309/5 at the end of Day 1. Australian’s are bowling at very slow rate and hence had to miss few overs. Refree should ask Ponting to improve the over rate as they Aussies bowled slowly in Perth too.

First session on Day 2 will decide the momentum of the match, If India can manage to put another 100 runs with out losing not more than 2 wickets then Aussies will be on backfoot and will play for a draw. If Aussies want to win, they should not allow India to score more than 425 or else most probably they will lose or match may end as draw.

Pakistan started the series with a bang after Zimbabwe won the toss and asked them to bat on a batting track. Pakistan made use of oppurtunity and scored total beyond 300 which ruled out Zimbabwe even before their batting started. Everyone played very well from Pakistan view but one man needs to get credit and it has to be Nasir Jamshed who scored quick 50 on his debut and put Pakistan in commanding position right from the word go.

Hope Pakistan carries on momentum and win the rest of the matches as well. Hope we get to see great match like the 1st one.

After victory at Perth, Team India has oppurtunity to level the series by winning the last match of 4 match test series at Adelaide Oval where they won against Aussies in 2003(Credits to Dravid & Laxman). Things have a changed a lot and India has even much better side compared to the one in 2003 and there is no reason why India should not fancy every small chance of leveling the series. Most probably this will be will the last for all the fab 5 Indian players and a great opportunity to leave a footprint in Australia to be remembered for years to come by.

Aussie will be having Hayden back in the side whom they missed at perth and will satisfy with even a draw. Even though that’s not the attitude with what Aussies play but mathematically speaking draw will be good enough for winning the series.

It should be a easy task for Pakistan to whitewash the series but you never know in ODI cricket. Zimbabweans are confident of winning few matches and upsetting pakistan here as they mentioned in couple of news reports. Also there will be few debutants from Pakistan for this series.

Hope we will have a tight contest or a huge victory for pakistan.

Match Delayed due to Rain.

Its still raining out there and some overs will be reduced. West Indies should make use of opportunity to prove that they belong to International cricket in this ODI series. If they continue this kind of performances slowly people will call them minnows as well. Lets hope they get their game right and put up some show.

Advantage India would have been words from commentators if it was tennis. India managed to get a lead of 400 even after losing the trio cheaply and in short time. Thanks to Laxman and Dhoni partnership and Laxman and RP singh’s partnership they could score close 300 in 2nd innings. Excellent cricket from India after losing the 1st two tests. Not sure how many of you noticed but Shaun Tait, the current world’s fastest bowler could not pick a single wicket on a best know bouncy track.

Irfan pathan is having excellent day yesterday. Came as a night watchman and scored 46 runs and then picked two wickets leaving Ponting and Hussey at the crease who has a big task to do. But chasing 400 odd runs in 4th innings is a difficult task in any era of cricket and with two wickets down already it’s almost impossible.

West Indies started the tour on high note winning 1st T20I and 1st Test match and many thought that’s the revival of West Indies but the way they lost the rest of the 2 matches it looks like same old story for West Indies.But West Indies is always fun to watch in shorter version of games rather than tests and we can witness some good cricket.

Guys we had some server issues and we have now moved to a new server and it should be stable and fast from now on.

Back to cricket and we are almost half way through Day 3 and India had lost some wickets but already built a good lead of 350+ and another 50 more will be great and a challenging for Aussies to chase in 4th innings.

After winning the toss and electing to bat on Perth pitch kind of surprised quite a few people but at the India of the Day 1, most of the Indians will be satisfied with their team performance. Wicket of Dravid just before the end of day 1 had shifted the balance the bit towards Aussies. Team India should be looking to score a minimum of 350 with the rest of the batting line up and that’s not a bad 1st innings total on this pitch.

Sehwag and Jaffer started the innings off to a decent start and later Mr Wall stood there strong while Sachin build his innings of 71 and keep scorecard ticking. Dravid consolidated his runs and held the wicket at the other end like he always does when in form. End of Day 1, India lost all their top fabulous six and now its up to pathan, Dhoni and Kumble to take it to the best possible score and then Indian bowlers need to exploit the inexperienced opening partners.

After 10 days gap, 3rd Test will be starting in couple of hours in Perth from now and that was a very timely and much required break after long list of not so fruitful events at Sydney. Time to forget the Sydney test and carry on with the Game and precisely that’s what had been agreed between captain’s earlier yesterday.

India will be playing null, may be in place of null and also I will prefer null in place of null on this pitch which is a null paradise while Aussies are forced to change their opener Hayden because of injury and most likely Tait will be replacing null.

Also with what happened at Sydney, umpires may be bit over cautious which may not be good for the game of cricket. Hope nothing of that sort happens today and we will get to watch good cricket.
