England had a very bad day at office other day and it takes a lot of mental effort to recover and level the series from the damage New Zealand. After winning the toss and deciding to bat no team expects to set a target of 130 even on a track which supports bowlers. Middle order need to show some stability and consistency for England if they want to do well for the rest of the series. Also if I was given a chance to decide between Bopara or Mascarenhas, I would go with Mascarenhas who is a better all rounder compared to Bopara and that’s the only change I can think if there are any changes to be made for England side.

New Zealand must be happy with their performance both with the bat and the bowl in the 1st ODI and most likely will go with same side and hope to perform well. Hope England can lift their game and offer us a better cricket match.

Wow last match was an exceptional performance from Team India, especially with the ball to beat the World Cricket Champions who made Sri Lankans look silly in their previous match. It’s good to see Indian pacemen striking 90mph consistently and performing better than few Aussie bowlers. If India can pull out a victory today, most probably they will book their seat in Finals. Sri Lanka needs a win badly here today or else they will be under tremendous pressure to win the rest of the matches if they want to goto finals.

Welcome back for the 4th ODI of CB series between India and Australia. Good news is there will be no rain if forecasts has to be believed and we can get to witness a fill match.

With Hayden back in side, Aussies look lot stronger than they did in 1st match both in Batting and Fielding against Sri Lanka other day and most likely they will retain the same side for todays match against India. Team India did well with bowl in the 1st match, and if they want to win today they need to improve their performance with Bat. Also it won’t be a bad idea to concentrate on Net Run Rate in the points table.

England will be happy with their performance in the T20s till now and will be hoping to continue the same in five match ODI series as well.  Alistair cook will be back into the team to open the innings with Phil Mustard/Luke Wright. Dimitri Mascarenhas has performed well on every given oppurtunity and England may prefer him and Ravi Bopara may have to sit out.

Without Vettori, New Zealand has tough task ahead and it’s time for the new blokes on the team to prove themselves and become a part of New Zealand future plans. Playing at home should help the new players and that should create a balance between both the sides.

One more washout and believe me people will lose interest in the series. Rain had already denied result in two good matches and fortunately or unfortunately India is involved in both the cricket matches and washout here today will level the points table but we would like to see cricketing action rather than rain playing spoil sport.

It would be good to see the two world cup finalists taking on each other after long time. Good thing for Aussies is Matt Hayden will be back not only to strengthen the batting but also Slip fielding and Ricky had declared himself fit as well. So Aussies will be playing their full strength today. Sri Lanka would most likely to go with the same team they played against India. If the rain gods permit, we can witness good cricket finally.

Never thought England would dominate the 1st T20 in such a way, thanks to KP and Mascarenhas. KP stroking the ball well is a good sign for England. England kicked off the tour on a positive note and they will hope to carry the same for the rest of the tour.

England may most likely to play the same team while New Zealand will miss their Star Jacob Oram for the 2nd T20. Except NZ to play responsibly in batting department, its proven time and again that wickets in early overs can have huge impact on the T20 result.

England starts their tour of New Zealand with inagural match T20 today at Christchurch. Both teams will be playing 2 T20’s, 5 ODI’s and 3 Tests over next 2 months. If I can think of one guy who needs a good series, it has got to be Peter Moore’s the England coach more than anyone.

Well many thought England will do in T20 WC because of the importance they had given in county cricket and selected the team based on the performance but it did not do well as expected. Still England team have many of them to play for today and New Zealand too have a good team and can be explosive on home soil. Expecting to see some good competitive cricket from both the teams today.

Don’t know how many will agree but I believe Rain helped team India in the inaugural match of the CB series. Many may say momentum was with India but Aussies had 7 wickets in hand and only 97 runs to score at asking rate of 5 and not to forget they can bat deep till Mitchell Johnson.

Except Rohit Sharma, none of the Indian batsman were impressive and was lucky to reach 194. Most likely India will be going with same team and if Yuvraj is fit he will replace Manoj Tiwary who looked tensed in the last match.

Sri Lanka had played couple of practice games and won 1 and lost 1. Also they will be happy that Jayasuriya is fit for the game. Its going to be a good contest and will be interesting to see which team has got better bowling attack.

Nothing gets better than 15 ODI’s in span of 30 days involving three major cricketing nations Australia, India & Sri Lanka for every cricket fan. And this Tri-Nation Series kicks off today when India plays against Australia at Brisbane. Both the teams had played good test cricket over past 1 month and know each others strengths very well. Honestly speaking Aussies have a better team than inexperienced Indian team who will miss RP Singh and Zaheer Khan for the entire series and Yuvraj for this match. It would be interesting to see whether BCCI got the selection right and can their song of Youth can continue in the future. This will be a good opportunity for the youngsters to prove themselves and cement their place for future tournaments.
