Coming to the match, everyone knows whats gonna happen here in next one or two days. Day 2 did not change any fortunes for India and proteas dominated all the sessions till now. And by the time we turned up here, South Africa declares which was on cards anyways and India lost Sehwag already.

If you had noticed the timings, match is expected to start 30 mins earlier today becuase of early closure of play yesterday due to rain.

After winning the toss and chose to bat, SL got off to a steady start with openers before wicket fell in heap. Dilshan and Silva played very well to make sure Sri Lanka has decent runs on board.

Hmph 76 all out, gotta kiddin me with world class batting lineup and home conditions. Anways that was an excellent performance from Proteas bowlers(especially Steyn and Ntini) on Day 1 of 2nd Test and good batting display compared to the opposition who got out in just 20 overs scoring 76.

SA lead by almost 150 runs at the end of Day 1 with another 6 wickets in hand and if they can push the lead beyond 300 in 1st innings then India have to fight real hard to stay in the game.

Neverthought 1st test will go so  far after watching first couple of day and it was fun watching the last session of Day 5. Anyways lets hope this one will also be as interesting as the other one and we have stable links to watch the match online.

Thanks to few people(Curator, Dravid, McKenzie) that match ended up as a draw even after sehwags fastest triple hundred in record books and what seemed to be a one sided match on Day 2 and 3 ended up as a draw. Actually that talks a lot about Pitch more than Proteas batting skills against Spinners

Let’s hope for good cricket for next 5 days.

Before the start of Day 4 many had thought India had great winning chance in this match but at the end of Day 4 opportunity seems very dull and thanks to Dravid for batting in his own world.

Anyways this match is now more or less a draw unless one of the team pulls out a miracle from nowhere.

Jeez that’s as good as watching ODI and thanks to Sehwag who score almost 100 runs per session with a S/R of 100+. It will be great if he plays for atleast another couple of hours on Day 4(I think that much time is more than enough to break the ultimate record) . Dravid and Jaffer had played good enough in supporting role and if Dravid can score another 15 runs he will be in elite club of 10K+.

If India can score another 300 runs today which gives them lead of 225+, then they will have good chance of winning the match considering the  two top spinners on home soil on Day 5. South Africa need to start playing this as ODI and start saving each run if they want to save the game or else it might cost them dearly.

 Looks like a boring match where everyone is gonna get some runs on this batting track, After resuming on Day 1 SA managed to score 200 odd runs before they got all out and it was a tough and rather an frustrating day for Indian bowlers. Indians also got off to a flyer just like SA did or  probably even better than that. Would be great to see how they(Team India) perform on Day 3 with bat. Definitely all Indians would like to see Sehwag at crease for longer time.

Welcome back for the live coverage of Day 2 of 1st Test Match between India vs South Africa. As expected after looking at the pitch and the previous records it was evident that captain who wins the toss will love to bat and South Africa did the same and no surprises from the pitch as it supported the batsman through out the day 1. Openers started of really well and set the tone for the rest of the innings which other batsman followed.

At the End of Day 1 S.A were 304/4 and as of now it seems 400 looks like an easy task with another 6 wickets in hand though (only 1 more recognised batsman left). Indian pace man could not do much and seemed rusty but actually they had no support from the pitch. If India have any plans to win the game then they should be looking forward to pick wickets early and restrict SA below 450 and score runs quickly without losing not too many wickets.
